Wedding Mahendi

What is wedding Mehndi aka Mehandi? It's a temporary "tattoo" which lasts 5 - 7 days on the hands and up to 10 days on feet. This ornamentation is popular for women at weddings but many other parties also. The dye is extracted from a dried leaf and petioles of a special plant thus it's 100% pure, natural and safe. The stain color ranges from deep red to dark burgundy.

In India and Pakistan, this technique is called "Mehndi." In North Africa and the Middle East, people call it "Henna."
While in India, our group has been invited to attend a very special wedding, clearly one of the anticipated highlights of our GSE trip to Bangalore! The bride-to-be, the daughter of a Bangalore Rotarian, is marrying the son of another Rotarian. Well, two weeks from today is departure!
