JP Nagar Rotary club service project at Jnana Sanjeevini Medical center

The JP Nagar Rotary club brought us to visit their service project in the Jnana San Jeevini Medical Center. The Rotary Diabetes Diagnostic center has been supported by the Minneapolis University Rotary club in District 5950. I was really impressed by the passionate dedication of the director, diabetic counselors and other support staff there.
India has unfortunately a very high rate of diabetes in children and adults. This facility works diligently on prevention, education and proper care.
Generic drugs usually cost about $10/each in the US; $1 in India and just 5 cents through this center.

Patients are divided into four paying levels:
"C" is Charity and no fee.
"L" is Lower Class and has a lower fee.
"M" is Middle Class and has a higher fee.
"U" is Upper Class which pays the highest fee.
